Routes have no pre-printed color — players place color tiles when drawing cards

• Each time you draw train cards, you must also place one colored track tile on any empty route of matching length
• The tile color determines that route's required cards to claim — any player can claim it
• If multiple routes overlap, placing a tile on one makes the other(s) unavailable
• You may sometimes place tiles strategically (or as a bluff) on routes you don't intend to claim

Routes with locomotive icons require locomotives

• Play one locomotive card per locomotive icon, then the usual set of cards of any one color for remaining spaces
